Family Programs Registration Form
Birthday Parties are held on Saturdays and Sundays from 10am-12pm or 1-3pm.
Parties are in two categories: Basic and Deluxe.
Both parties include:
- ½ sheet cake decorated with your child’s name and a picture of one of our animals.
- Ice cream for all guests
- Fruit Punch and water available throughout the party
- All paper products, silverware, cups and napkins for all food and drink we provide
- A party facilitator who will set up, break down, and lead your party
- A paper craft for the kids
- A guided tour accompanied by a fish & turtle feeding at the lemur pond
The Deluxe party also includes:
- An animal pull string piñata with candy
- Paper goodie bags with Zoo stickers to hold candy from piñata
- Lunch for all of your guests. You have your choice of:
- Hot dogs with chips
- Hamburger with chips
- Pizza (cheese only, one topping only or ½ cheese & ½ one topping)
Parties are sold in an initial package for 20 participants, including children (ages 1 and above) and adults. There is a charge per additional guest after the 20 guest count has been reached. If you go over our recommended guest count of 45, you will be charged a fee of $100, in addition to the per person fee. If you have less than 20 participants, you still pay for the initial package price. If you need a party for over 50 guests (the maximum number of guests our facility will hold), we recommend contacting our in-house caterer, “Taste of the Wild Catering,” at 924-0880 or on the web at www.tasteofthewildhawaii.com. They will be able to help you plan your larger party or event. Note: when contacting Taste of the Wild Catering by phone, it is an automated system. Please DO NOT choose the option of “Birthday Parties.” Please choose the option of “Taste of the Wild Catering.”
When you make a reservation we can put a hold on the date of your choice for seven days. At the end of the seven days we will need your registration form returned to us with the initial payment for 20 guests. Your final head count will need to be provided to us on the Monday prior to your party date. The guest count given to us at this time is the minimum number of guests you will be charged for on the day of your party.
Costs: Member rates refer to Tiger level membership or above
Basic:
$250 package of 20, non-member
$225 for members
$8 per additional guests over 20
Deluxe:
$350 package of 20, non-member
$325 for members
$10 per additional guests over 20
You are welcome to bring your own food and non-alcoholic drinks, whether you choose the Basic or Deluxe party. Cooking on grounds is not permitted. You can bring your own decorations, but remember that banners, bubbles, balloons, streamers and balls may accidentally get into an animal exhibit and are not allowed in the zoo.

POLICIES:
Registration is on a first come, first served basis. If a class is full, you will be placed on the waiting list. If we cannot provide a space for you we will reschedule you or return your payment. We do not refund for missed or partially missed days. Please note that some elements of our programs may change due to animal and staff availability. We reserve the right to cancel a program if enrollment is too low.
FAMILY PROGRAMS – you may cancel up to 10 days prior to the program, minus a $20 servicing fee. Your entire payment is forfeited if you cancel less than 10 days before the start of the program. When possible, we will reschedule you.
BIRTHDAY PARTIES – you may reschedule/cancel up to 10 days prior to the party date, minus a $50 servicing fee. Your entire payment is forfeited if you cancel less than 10 days prior to the party. An additional fee of $100 will be assessed if your guest count exceeds the 45 person limit.
Program discounts are given to HZS premium memberships only (Flamingo/Basic Family Pass excluded).
